A deep clean resets a furnished, lived-in property: inside the oven, behind appliances, descaled bathrooms, dust removed from tops of doors and wardrobes, skirtings, light fittings. The scope is similar across property sizes — what changes is the time it takes.
The figures below assume a property in reasonable condition that's been maintained but is overdue for a thorough clean. Properties that haven't had a deep clean in years take longer at the same hourly rate.
Deep clean cost by property size
Times are for a single cleaner. We send a team of two on most deep cleans so the work finishes in half the elapsed time, at the same total cost.
Common extras
- Inside fridge and freezer
Included if requested. Empty the fridge and defrost the freezer the day before so we can clean it properly.
- Inside oven (full degrease)
Included as standard on every deep clean. Heavy build-up may add 30 to 45 minutes.
- Carpet shampooing
Specialist add-on. Add 1 to 2 hours per room depending on size. Quoted separately.
- Internal windows
Included on a deep clean: glass, frames, sills and tracks. External windows aren't part of the standard scope.
What pushes the time up
Three things change a deep clean estimate more than anything else: time since last thorough clean, presence of pets, and clutter level. Any one of these can add an hour or two. All three together usually means a full day's work for a team of two.
We don't surprise you on the day. After a few questions on the phone (or photos by message), we tell you the realistic estimate. If we get there and find something significantly worse than described, we stop and discuss before continuing.
How often a deep clean is worth booking
