Gutter cleaning in Derby costs £50 to £70 for a terraced house or bungalow, £60 to £90 for a semi-detached and £80 to £120 for a detached house. That covers the front and back, with the debris bagged and taken away and the downpipes checked for blockages. Gutter cleaning in Derby

Gutters fill up quietly. Leaves, moss, silt and the odd tennis ball collect until the water has nowhere to go, then it spills over the edge and runs down the wall. Nobody notices until there is a damp patch inside or a waterfall outside the front door.

Sarah and the team clear gutters on homes across Derby. We do the front and back by hand or with a tool, bag up everything we take out and take it away with us, then check the downpipes for blockages so the water has a clear run to the drain.

The price is set by the type of house, we bring what we need, and travel inside Derby is included. We are available seven days a week from 9am to 9pm, and you can see where we work on the areas page.

When to book gutter cleaning

  • Water is spilling over the edge of the gutter when it rains
  • You can see weeds, moss or grass growing along the gutter line
  • The leaves have come down and you want the gutters clear for winter
  • There are trees close to the house that drop leaves every year
  • The gutters have not been cleared since you moved in
  • Stains are running down the wall below a gutter joint

What is included

  • • Gutters cleared at the front and back of the house
  • • Leaves, moss and silt bagged and taken away
  • • Downpipes checked for blockages
  • • Conservatory roof and gutters, if you add them
  • • Fascia and soffit wipe-down, if you add it
  • • A word on any damage we spot

How a gutter clean works

1. Fixed quote

Call 07491 874921, or WhatsApp a photo of the house showing the roofline. We give you the price before we turn up.

2. Access check

We look at how to reach the gutters before we start. Houses up to two storeys are standard. Anything taller, or awkward to get at, is quoted after we have had a look.

3. Clearing the gutters

We clear the front and back by hand or with a tool, working along each run and bagging the debris as it comes out.

4. Downpipes

We check each downpipe for blockages, because a clear gutter that drains into a blocked pipe still overflows.

5. Taking it away

The bags go with us. If we notice a cracked section or a joint that is leaking, we tell you before we leave.

Is it worth having your gutters cleaned?

Usually, yes. A clean on a semi-detached house is £60 to £90, and it takes about an hour or two. Blocked gutters can overflow, and water that runs down a wall instead of into the drain can lead to damp, stained brickwork and a mess underfoot.

It also is not a job most people want to do themselves. Gutters are above head height, the debris is wet and heavy, and it is easy to miss the downpipe, which is often where the blockage is.

Twice a year is best: late autumn once the leaves have fallen, and again in spring. If you are reading this in autumn, now is a good time to book. Our guides to winter cleaning and the spring cleaning checklist show where gutters fit in the year.

Repairs, height and access

We clean gutters but we do not repair them. If a gutter is broken or leaking at a joint, we tell you and recommend a roofer or gutter repairer.

Houses up to two storeys are done as standard. Taller buildings, and houses where access is difficult, are quoted after we have had a look. We check access before we start.

Windows need doing as well? See our window cleaning page.

Book gutters with other cleaning

Gutters pair well with a seasonal reset. We can clear them on the same day as your windows, or alongside a deep clean inside. If you are selling a house or handing back a rental, ask us about an end of tenancy clean for the inside. Browse some recent jobs to see our work.

Our 100% satisfaction guarantee applies here too. If you spot something we missed, let us know within 48 hours and we return to put it right.

Common questions about gutter cleaning

How much does gutter cleaning cost in Derby?

A terraced house is £50 to £70, a semi-detached £60 to £90, a detached house £80 to £120 and a bungalow £50 to £70. That covers the front and back, with the debris bagged and taken away and the downpipes checked for blockages. Products, equipment and travel inside Derby are included, and you get a fixed quote before we start.

How often should gutters be cleaned?

Twice a year is best: late autumn once the leaves have fallen, and again in spring. A house with trees close by may need a clean sooner than one in an open spot.

How long does it take?

Usually 1 to 2 hours, depending on the size of the house and how much has built up in the gutters.

What happens to the leaves and moss?

We clear the gutters by hand or with a tool, bag everything up and take it away with us. We do not leave a pile on your path or in your garden.

What if my gutter is broken or leaking?

We tell you what we found and recommend a roofer or gutter repairer. We clean gutters but we do not repair them, so a cracked section or a leaking joint needs someone else.

Do you clean gutters on tall houses?

Houses up to two storeys are done as standard. Taller buildings, or houses where access is difficult, are quoted after we have had a look. We check access before we start work.

Can you clean the fascias, soffits and conservatory roof too?

Yes. A fascia and soffit wipe-down is £30 to £50 extra, and a conservatory roof and gutters start from £40. We can also do your windows on the same visit. If you are not happy with anything, tell us within 48 hours and we come back to put it right.
