How much does mattress cleaning cost in Derby?

Professional mattress cleaning in Derby
You spend hours on your mattress every night, and over the years it collects sweat, skin, dust and the odd spill. Washing the bedding does not reach what has gone into the mattress itself, which is where dust mites live.
Sarah and the team clean mattresses at your home. We vacuum both sides with a HEPA vacuum, treat any stains, use hot water extraction on the sleeping surface, and reduce dust mites and allergens. You get a fresher mattress to sleep on, and the price is fixed before we start.

How we clean a mattress
1. Size and price
Tell us the size of the mattress on the phone, or send a photo on WhatsApp. We confirm a fixed price before we arrive.
2. Care label check
We read the mattress care label first. W means water-based cleaning, S means solvent only, W/S means either, and X means vacuum only. If the mattress cannot be wet cleaned, we tell you before starting.
3. HEPA vacuum
We strip the bed and vacuum both sides of the mattress with a HEPA vacuum, working along the seams and edges.
4. Patch test and stain treatment
We test the cleaning solution on a hidden patch, then treat marks and stains. Urine and pet marks get an enzyme treatment.
5. Hot water extraction
We clean the sleeping surface with hot water extraction, which reduces dust mites and allergens and pulls the dirty water back out.
6. Drying
A mattress usually dries in 4 to 6 hours. Air the room, open a window if you can, and wait until the surface is dry before you put the bedding back on.

Is it worth having your mattress professionally cleaned?
In most cases, yes. A double costs £35 to £45 to clean, against the price of a new mattress, and cleaning removes the dirt, stains and allergens that washing the bedding cannot reach.
It matters most if someone in the house has allergies, if there has been an accident, or if you have moved into a place with a mattress you did not choose.
Cleaning will not fix a mattress that sags, has broken springs or no longer supports you. If that is the problem, a replacement is the better spend.
Stains, urine and pets
Urine and pet marks are treated with an enzyme treatment at £15 to £25 per affected area. We tell you before we start if a stain is unlikely to lift fully.
A mattress marked X on the care label is vacuum only. We say so before starting rather than wetting it.
Our guide to pet stains explains how the treatment works.
Book mattresses with other cleaning
Mattress cleaning can go on the same visit as a carpet clean, a deep clean or an end of tenancy clean. Browse recent jobs to see our work, or check the areas we cover.
Every clean is backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not happy, tell us within 48 hours and we come back to put it right.
Common questions about mattress cleaning
How much does mattress cleaning cost in Derby?
A single mattress is £25 to £35, a double £35 to £45, and a king or super king £45 to £55. Products, equipment and travel inside Derby are included, and the price is fixed before we start.
What does a mattress clean include?
We vacuum both sides with a HEPA vacuum, treat any stains, use hot water extraction on the sleeping surface, and reduce dust mites and allergens.
How long does a mattress take to dry?
Usually 4 to 6 hours. We recommend airing the room while it dries, and leaving the bedding off until the mattress is dry to the touch.
Can you remove urine and pet stains from a mattress?
We treat urine and pet stains with an enzyme treatment at £15 to £25 per affected area. We tell you before starting if a stain is unlikely to lift fully.
How often should a mattress be cleaned?
Once a year is a good guide. Do it sooner after an illness, a spill or an accident, or if anyone in the house has allergies and wakes up congested.
Will mattress cleaning help with allergies?
It reduces dust mites and allergens in the sleeping surface, which can help people who react to them. It sits alongside regular washing of bedding rather than replacing it.
Can I book a mattress clean with a carpet clean?
Yes. Mattresses can be done in the same visit as a carpet clean, a deep clean or an end of tenancy clean. If you are not happy with the result, tell us within 48 hours and we come back to put it right.
